No single nation, institution, or organization can defeat terrorism alone, a co-ordinated response is therefore necessary to tackle the ideologies fuelling international terrorism and strengthen societies' ability to protect itself when the threat persists. The World Counter Terror Congress 2020 will provide a closed-door opportunity for the national security community to meet and deliberate common challenges in the CT space.
Day 1 (8 September) will place particular emphasis on countering violent extremism (CVE), subjects covered will include understanding the threat picture, CVE at the local level, de-radicalisation strategies as well as detecting and disrupting extremism in the online space.
Day 2 (9 September) seeks to examine the protective security challenges posed by terrorism, considering requirements for strengthening physical security, situational awareness, and detection of threats posed by dangerous individuals and groups.
Now in its 9th year, The World Counter Terror Congress 2020 will provide an un-rivalled opportunity to hear from those driving the fight against terrorism globally.
